PM Modi will dedicate Bansapani-Daitari-Tomka- Jakhapura Rail Line on March 5.

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Odisha on March 5 and expected to inaugurate and lay foundation stone of diverse projects worth over Rs 19,600 crore in Chandikhole and Jajpur.

The projects span key sectors such as oil & gas, railways, road, transport & highways and atomic energy. Modi will inaugurate the Indian Oil Corporation’s Mono Ethylene Glycol project in Paradip Refinery. Furthermore, he will unveil a 344 km-long product pipeline from Paradip to Haldia and a 0.6 MMTPA LPG Import facility at Paradip.

In a bid to boost regional road infrastructure, the prime minister will dedicate four-laning projects on NH-49 and NH-18, and NH-16’s Tangi-Bhubaneswar section. He will also lay the foundation stone for eight-laning of the Chandikhole-Paradip section.

Railway expansion will include the dedication of the Bansapani-Daitari-Tomka- Jakhapura Rail Line, enhancing traffic facility capacity and facilitating efficient ore transportation. The inauguration of the CONCOR Container Depot in Kalinga Nagar aims to boost domestic and international trade.

The prime minister will also flag off a new train between Puri and Anand Vihar, introduce passenger train services in Kendrapara district, and inaugurate the Haridaspur-Paradeep Rail Line.
