New Delhi: A 21-year-old woman was killed in her home in West Delhi on Wednesday. Police say the man behind the attack was her gym trainer.

The victim, Muskan, was a student and a model. She was alone at home, on the second floor of a building in Tilak Nagar, when she was attacked with a knife. The accused, identified as Imran, allegedly stabbed her and ran away.

Neighbours heard her screaming and rushed over. They found her badly injured and rushed her to the hospital, but she did not survive.

Police are on the hunt

Additional DCP Abhishek Gupta confirmed that police are actively searching for Imran. Investigators are going through CCTV footage from the area to trace his movements.

Muskan’s friend Aman said she was the youngest of three sisters. He got a call from her elder sister, who lives in Chandigarh, telling him Muskan had been stabbed and to rush to the house immediately.

By the time Aman reached, an ambulance had already taken her to the hospital.

He also said Muskan’s sisters told him Imran had harassed her before, which is part of why suspicion quickly turned to him.
