Bengaluru: IndianOil has increased the supply of auto LPG across Karnataka as demand has gone up sharply, especially in Bengaluru.
The rise in demand comes after many private LPG fuel stations in the city and other parts of the state have either shut down or are only partly working.
To manage the situation, the state-run company is now supplying fuel through its 55 Auto LPG Dispensing Stations across Karnataka. These stations are currently meeting the needs of auto rickshaws and LPG-run cars.
With over 300 private outlets not fully operational, a large number of customers have shifted to government-run fuel stations.
Despite the added pressure, IndianOil said it is making sure there is no disruption in supply and that services continue smoothly.
The increase in demand is clearly visible. Daily sales at IndianOil’s LPG stations have gone up to about 59.53 metric tonnes, compared to an average of 43.4 metric tonnes over the past three months.
The company said it will continue to ensure steady fuel supply while following government guidelines and balancing demand across different users.
