OCA hosts cricket kit distribution ceremony

Odisha Cricket Association hosted a cricket kit distribution ceremony in association with Shyam Bhatia’s “Cricket for Care” and Shree Jagannath Steels & Powers Ltd. at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack.

The “Cricket for Care” is a charitable organisation which has been donating cricket kits in many countries. They have already taken up this activity in
countries such as South Africa, Afghanistan, India, and many other countries.

During the cricket kit distribution ceremony around 50 kits were distributed to all the affiliated schools of Odisha Cricket Association and to the schools across all the districts. Around 300 school children were also present during this ceremony.

Tusharkanti Behera, Minister of Sports & YS, Govt of Odisha was present as the chief guest, while Shyam Bhatia, Prashant Ahluwalia (Shree Jagannath Steels & Powers Ltd), Debasish Mohanty (Former India player & national selector for senior men, BCCI) and Asirbad Behera (general secretary, OAA & CDAA & secretary, FAO) were present as guests of honour.

Pankaj Lochan Mohanty (president, OCA), Sanjay Behera (Secretary, OCA), Bikash Pradhan (treasurer, OCA), Suvasish Senapati (member, apex Council, OCA) were also present along with many affiliated members of Odisha Cricket Association.
