Cuttack to host three matches of Legends League Cricket

Cuttack’s Barabati Stadium will be one of the host venue of the Legends League Cricket. Three T20 matches of the tournament will be played at Barabati Stadium on September 27, 29 and 30, Odisha Cricket Association informed.

After successful hosting of the first edition of the Legends League at Oman, the company Absolute Legends (P) Ltd. is conducting the second edition in India.

Apart from Cuttack, the other venues are Kolkata, Lucknow, New Delhi, Jodhpur and Rajkot. The inaugural match will be played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata between India Maharajas and World Giants.

Sourav Ganguly, President of BCCI will be leading the India Maharajas. Other former India players who will be part of the tournament are: Pragyan Ojha, Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, S Sreeshant.

Legendary cricketers from other countries would be Chris Gayle, Shane Watson, Brett Lee, Jonty Rhodes, Dale Steyn, Sanath Jaysuriya and many others.

Like IPL there will be four franchise-based teams in this league. All the matches will be broadcasted live on Sony Networks.
