CK Nayudu Trophy: Jharkhand thrash Odisha by an innings and 88 runs

Jharkhand’s strong batting display on the back of two centuries by Sahil Raj and Aditya Singh, they were able to thrash Odisha by an innings and 88 runs inside three days of an Elite-C group match of CK Nayudu Trophy.

Put in to bat, Jharkhand piled up a massive 452 in their first innings with Raj scoring 184 and Singh 133. For Odisha, Satyakam Bharadwaj picked four wickets.

In reply, Odisha were bowled out for 253 with Aashirwad Swain scoring a hundred and Debasish Samantray 61. For Jharkhand, Manishi picked eight wickets by conceding 55 runs.

Odisha asked to bat again, floundered in their second innings too and were bowled out for a meagre 111. This time Vinayak Vikram returned with a five-wicket haul.

Odisha will play their second match of the tournament against Madhya Pradesh on March 29.
