The Asia Cup 2023 schedule is out with India meeting Pakistan in a first round game in Kandy on September 2. If both the arch-rivals qualify to the Super 4s, Colombo will be the venue for that game.

The first match of the Asia Cup will be played on August 30 in Multan, with Pakistan taking on Nepal. The final will be played on September 17 in Colombo.

Asia Cup 2023 will have 13 matches. India, Pakistan and Nepal are in Group A while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan make the Group B. The top two teams from each group will progress to the Super 4 stage, there from here the top two sides make it to the finals.

The format for this year’s Asia Cup will be 50 overs, a preparation of sorts for the five teams who will be playing the ODI World Cup in October in India.

Aug 31: BAN vs SL (Kandy)

Sep 2: PAK vs IND (Kandy)

Sep 3: BAN vs AFG (Lahore)

Sep 4: IND vs NEP (Kandy)

Sep 5: AFG vs SL (Lahore)

Super 4s:

Sep 6: A1 vs B2 (Lahore)

Sep 9: B1 vs B2 (Colombo)

Sep 10: A1 vs A2 (Colombo)

Sep 12: A2 vs B1 (Colombo)

Sep 14: A1 vs B1 (Colombo)

Sep 15: A2 vs B2 (Colombo)

Final:

Sep 17 (Colombo)
