Prostitution racket busted in Latur, four women rescued
Latur: Police have uncovered a prostitution racket operating from a flat in a residential building in Maharashtra’s Latur city and rescued four women, officials said on Saturday.
Based on specific information, a team from the Anti Human Trafficking Cell of Latur police carried out a raid on Friday at a seventh floor apartment in the Adarsh Colony area.
During the raid, the team rescued four women who were allegedly being forced into prostitution. A woman suspected of running the operation was taken into custody at the spot.
Police have registered a case at Shivajinagar police station and further investigation is in progress, an official said.
