Pune: Defence personnel’s home burgled, gold jewellery worth Rs 4.4 lakh stolen
Pune: A house belonging to a defence staffer was reportedly broken into in Pune, with thieves making away with gold jewellery worth around Rs 4.4 lakh, police said.
The incident took place on Sunday evening at a residence located inside a defence institute campus in the Dapodi area. According to officials, the family had stepped out to watch a movie when the burglary occurred.
Police said the accused forced open the latch of the house, entered the premises and stole gold ornaments before fleeing the spot. A case has been registered at Dapodi police station, and further investigation is underway to trace the culprits.
