Bengaluru: The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has revised the retail price of its popular Nandini ghee, increasing it by Rs 90 per litre to make it Rs 700 per litre, effective immediately.

KMF officials stated that the hike was necessitated by a surge in global dairy product prices. “Rising international demand has driven costs upward. Despite the revision, Nandini ghee continues to be one of the most affordable in the market,” a senior federation official explained.

Earlier, following a reduction in GST rates, the price of Nandini ghee had dropped from Rs 640 to Rs 610 per litre, offering temporary relief to consumers. However, with international market trends exerting upward pressure, KMF said the latest adjustment was essential to maintain financial sustainability.

The federation assured that it remains committed to balancing consumer affordability with fair returns to dairy farmers, even amid fluctuating global commodity prices.
