Bhubaneswar-B crush Gajapati by 378 Runs in OCA U-16 inter district tournament
Cuttack: Bhubaneswar-B produced a record-breaking performance to outclass Gajapati by a massive 378 runs in the OCA U-16 Inter District Cricket Tournament 2025 (Preliminary League, 2nd Phase) on Friday.
Batting first at the Bidanasi Ground, Bhubaneswar-B piled up an imposing 465/6 in 50 overs, thanks to a sensational double century by Midhansu Das, who smashed 230 off 125 balls, and Kumar A Swain’s unbeaten 61. For Gajapati, Jada Abhinash took 3 for 74.
In reply, Gajapati were bundled out for just 87 runs in 29.3 overs. Abhilash Kanungo starred with the ball, grabbing 5 for 23, while Mrutunjay Ray took 2 for 15 to complete the rout.

— Sundargarh beat Kandhamal by 51 runs at Nimpur Ground.
Sundargarh scored 135 all out, with SR Gunjan Sahoo contributing 26 runs and taking 6 for 18 to help bowl out Kandhamal for 84.
— Puri defeated Mayurbhanj by 6 wickets at Sunshine Ground.
Mayurbhanj posted 218, powered by Chandan K Singh’s 116, before Puri chased it down with ease as Anshuman Mohanty (84*) and Aryan Mohanty (74) led the way.
— KIIT beat Nayagarh by 5 wickets at Town Club Ground.
Aditya Dharua starred with 5 for 23, restricting Nayagarh to 124, before KIIT reached the target with Shreejeet Bhuyan scoring 41.
— Sambalpur-A thrashed Nabarangpur by 7 wickets at Ravenshaw-II Ground.
Nabarangpur were skittled out for 42, with A Vinay K Reddy taking 5 for 19. Sambalpur-A easily chased down the target.
— Sonepur defeated Sambalpur-B by 72 runs at BJB School Ground, Khordha.
Sonepur made 215/9, and then bowled out Sambalpur-B for 143, with Siddhanta Dehury taking 3 for 34.
— Keonjhar edged out Cuttack-B by 3 wickets at Railway Ground, Jatni.
Rahuldev S Naik starred with an all-round effort—3 for 18 and an unbeaten 28—to guide Keonjhar to victory.
— Khordha outplayed Rayagada by 120 runs at Gatirout Patna.
Khordha posted 249/8, with Deeptanshu Das (73) and Subhranshu Bhoi (51) shining. Omm P Sahoo picked 3 for 25 to seal the win.
— Kendrapara beat Dhenkanal by 3 wickets at Adashpur Ground.
Deepak K Baral took 3 for 16 as Dhenkanal were bowled out for 86. Kendrapara then chased the target, losing seven wickets in the process.
