New Delhi: The national capital faced travel disruptions on Wednesday morning due to dense fog, causing zero visibility at Indira Gandhi Airport. Three flights were diverted, and train services experienced delays.

The India Meteorological Department predicted light rain and thundershowers with gusty winds in the evening, attributed to a western disturbance until February 3.

Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 7.3 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, below the seasonal average. Notably, the city saw the lowest average maximum temperature (17.7 degrees Celsius) and the second-lowest average minimum temperature (6.2 degrees Celsius) in 13 years till January 30.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) was in the ‘very poor’ category at 370.
