Odisha’s blind women’s cricket team fought back from 1-0 down to win the three-match bilateral T20 series 2-1 against Karnataka in Bengaluru.

Odisha teams for National hockey championships

After a two-week training camp at the Kalinga Stadium, the Odisha teams, for National hockey championships have been declared.

Olympian Lazarus Barla will accompany the senior women’s team as their coach while veteran hockey coach Kalu Charan Choudhury will be in-charge of the junior team.

The Senior National Women’s Championship is scheduled to be held from Oct 21 to Oct 30 at Jhansi, while the Junior National Championship will be played at Simdega from Oct 20 to Oct 29.

AFC ‘B’ Diploma Coaching Course

The first Module of the AFC ‘B’ Diploma Coaching Course was held at the Capital High School Ground in Bhubaneswar from Oct 5 to Oct 11.

The programme led by AIFF instructor Mariano Dias & Sajid Yousuf Dar (Assistant) helped 24 coaches to reap benefits out of this.

This AFC Course was conducted by AIFF and executed by FAO in association with DSYS.

It was designed to educate coaches in developing a playing style, planning individual, group and team preparation. It will also help the coaches to understand coaching during training and matches.

Hero’s welcome

The sub-junior boys team arrived in Bhubaneshwar to a hero’s welcome after a spirited performance at the recently concluded Hockey India Sub-Jr Boys Academy National Championship 2021 in Bhopal, where they bagged a silver.

Odisha FC Grassroots Tour

After finishing its tour at two places (Gundichapada, Naranpur) in the Dhenkanal district, Odisha FC Grassroots Tour reached Mayurbhanj in the northern part of Odisha. Baskitala was the first stop in Mayurbhanj, and now the Odisha FC crew reached Chandbil in Mayurbhanj.
