Rahane: My best is yet to come
Ajinkya Rahane has upped his T20 game in this edition of the IPL as he slammed a blazing 29-ball 71 not out in Chennai Super Kings’ match against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday.
His knock studded with six boundaries and five sixes helped CSK post 235 for 4 and then winning it by 49 runs.
Not a India favourite anymore in any of the format, Rahane wants to enjoy the game.

“Just had a clear mindset and trying to enjoy my game. The wicket was a bit sticky, but once you are in you have a great chance. We had a great start, and after that I wanted to play my shots and keep the momentum going,” he said and adding “I’ve enjoyed all my knocks so far, I still feel the best is yet to come.”
“It is a great learning, I’ve played under Mahi bhai for India for many years, and now even at CSK it has been a great learning. If you listen to whatever he says, you will more often than not perform,” he told the IPL broadcaster on how it is to play under MS Dhoni.
When asked about Rahane’s batting show in this IPL so far, Dhoni said: “We realise the potential of someone when we allow him to bat the way he bats. We give him the freedom, also giving him the best position to bat.”
