Amroha: In a horrifying incident, the mutilated remains of a woman, suspected to be pregnant, were discovered on Bijnor road in Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha district. The victim, aged between 20 and 25 years, was found cut into 20 pieces, meticulously packed in plastic packets inside gunny bags.

Local residents made the discovery approximately 300 mtrs from the main road near Khetapur village. Anjali Kataria, circle officer, Naugawa, reported, “The body parts—head, hands, legs and torso—were found with sharp cut marks, indicating an electric cutter may have been used.”

Authorities promptly registered an FIR for murder under IPC Section 302 against unidentified persons. A photograph of the victim’s face is being circulated, and manual intelligence is being utilised to determine her identity.

The crime scene examination revealed no blood, suggesting the murder occurred elsewhere. The assailants seemingly disposed of the body in thickets on Bijnor road between midnight on Monday and 6 am on Tuesday. No tyre marks were found, which indicates the assailants may have walked to the spot to discard the bags.
