Rohit Sharma slammed the fastest World Cup hundred by an Indian batter. The India captain took 63 balls to reach his century in India’s World Cup 2023 match against Afghanistan at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Wednesday.
The record was previously held by Kapil Dev, who had hit a century in a World Cup off 72 balls.

He also broke another record by scoring his seventh hundred in World Cups, the most by an Indian going past Sachin Tendulkar (six centuries).
