Odisha announces 18-member U16 squad for Vijay Merchant Trophy 2025-26
Cuttack: The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) on Thursday announced an 18-member squad for the first three matches of the Vijay Merchant Trophy (U16 Boys, multi-day format) for the 2025–26 BCCI domestic season.
Neil N Mohanty has been named captain of the side, while Swarit Dash and Om Prakash Das have been selected as wicketkeepers. The squad, finalised by the Odisha junior men’s selection committee, features a mix of promising batters, allrounders and bowlers.
Odisha will begin their campaign against Rajasthan from December 7 to 9 at the Scindia School Cricket Ground in Gwalior. Their next matches are scheduled against Chhattisgarh (Dec 12-14 at Morena) and Bihar (Dec 18-20 at Gwalior). The remaining fixtures include games against Punjab and Pondicherry later in December.
