NTPC CBT-1 results: ECoR opens outreach camps; railway minister urges aspirants not to indulge in unlawful activities

Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has opened outreach camps to look into the concerns raised by the candidates in regard to the results of 1st Stage CBT of Centralised Employment Notification CEN 01/2019 of Non Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) issued by Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs).

Indian Railways has formed a high-level committee to go into issues raised by the candidates. The candidates may submit their grievances to the committee till 16th February, 2022.

Union railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has appealed to all the railway job aspirants not to indulge in unlawful activities and gave assurance about fair examination procedure.

“The RRB examinations are being conducted in a transparent manner maintaining highest standards of integrity. It has come to notice that aspirants of Railway job have indulged in vandalism/ unlawful activities like protesting on railway tracks, disruption of train Operations, damaging railway properties etc. Railway job aspirants/candidates are advised not to be misguided or come under the influence of such elements who are trying to use them for fulfilling their own selfish ends,” the railway minister said.

The railway minister has advised the apex authorities of Railway Board and Zonal Railways to open high power committees to look into the concerns and doubts raised by the aspirants.

Outreach camps at each division and also one at Bhubaneswar have been opened where aspirant candidates can come and register their grievances which will be placed at the highest level for redressal of the grievances.

On January 26, the Railways suspended its NTPC and Level 1 exams after the candidates went on a rampage in some states alleging irregularities in the process.

The railways had on Tuesday issued a general notice, warning its job aspirants that those found involved in vandalism and unlawful activities while protesting would be barred from ever getting recruited in the railways. This came a day after protesters squatted on railway tracks in several places in Bihar.
