New police aid post inaugurated at Jagamohan Nagar

Jagamohan Nagar police aid post

Bhubaneswar: A police aid post near the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER) in Jagamohan Nagar here was inaugurated by S K Priyadarshi, commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Priyadarshi said the area needed a police aid post for maintenance of law and order, crime control and proper traffic
management as around 10,000 people lived in the area and several thousand students study in ITER.

Deemed to be University were present.

Commissioner SK Priyadarshi, DCP Prateek Singh and Prof (Dr) Manojranjan Nayak planted saplings on the occasion.

ITER is the faculty of engineering and technology of SOA. Priyadarshi also thanked SOA for extending all assistance in the establishment of the police aid post. Priyadarshi, Singh and Prof (Dr) Nayak also planted three saplings to mark the occasion.

P K Rout, assistant commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar Zone-4, Dayanidhi Nayak, IIC of Khandagiri police station, Prof Manas Kumar Mallick, director of ITER, Prof Jyoti Ranjan Das, dean (Students’ Welfare), Jugal Kishore Das, SOA’s chief vigilance officer and director (Resources), Sanjay Kumar Sahu, SOA’s director, Legal Services, Biswajit Samantaray, in-charge of the newly inaugurated police aid post, Satish Samal, assistant professor, ITER and senior citizens of the area, were present on the occasion.
