Kalahandi Cup 2026: Sreeraj claims eight scalps as Bhubaneswar-A crush Boudh

Bhubaneswar-A produced a dominant all-round performance to register a massive 225-run victory over Boudh in a match of the Kalahandi Cup 2026 at MGM Ground.

After Boudh won the toss and opted to field, Bhubaneswar-A posted a strong total of 272/8 in 45 overs. The innings was powered by three solid half-centuries. Saransh Kumar top-scored with 62 off 67 balls, while Kartik Biswal provided momentum with a brisk 61 off 52 deliveries. Sourav K Gouda also chipped in with a valuable 53 off 62 balls to ensure the side crossed the 270 mark.

For Boudh, Esanangsoo Namdev was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3 for 30.

Chasing 273, Boudh’s batting line-up collapsed. They were bundled out for just 47 in 12.1 overs. Akshay Singh fought a lone battle with 33 off 24 balls, but received little support from the other end.

The star of the match was Sreeraj Pattanaik, who delivered a sensational spell of 8 for 18 to dismantle Boudh’s batting.

Balangir seal 10-wicket win over Sambalpur-A

In another match at Nimpur Cricket Ground, Balangir cruised to a comfortable 10-wicket victory over Sambalpur-A on Monday.

After winning the toss, Sambalpur-A chose to bat but struggled right from the start. They were bowled out for just 62 in 18.2 overs. Debasish Bagh was the top scorer with 22 off 27 balls.

Anshuman Mishra starred with the ball for Balangir, claiming an impressive 5 for 22 to put his side in complete control.

In reply, Balangir made light work of the target, racing to 66 without loss in just seven overs. Sailesh Patnaik led the charge with a quickfire 50 off 28 balls as his team wrapped up the chase with ease.
