Jaipur: Odisha faced an uphill task at the end of day two in their Col CK Nayudu Trophy (U23) match against Rajasthan at K L Saini Stadium, here on Saturday, trailing by 208 runs.

After bowling Rajasthan out for 355 in 129.0 overs in their first innings, Odisha ended the second day at 147 for 2 in 46.0 overs.

Shreyansh Bhardwaj remained unbeaten on 72 off 125 balls, hitting 13 boundaries, holding the innings together with a calm and steady approach. Om T Munde provided solid support with a well-made 70 from 143 deliveries, including nine fours. The pair ensured Odisha finished the day without further damage.

For Rajasthan, Ganesh Suthar bowled a tight spell of 1 for 13 in 10 overs, including four maidens, while Deependra Singh claimed 1 for 26 in 10 overs.

Earlier, Rajasthan added to their overnight score to post 355 all out. Rajat Baghel Baghel top-scored with 74 off 141 balls, hitting 13 fours and a six, while A G Chouhan contributed 71 from 159 deliveries.

Badal Biswal was the standout performer for Odisha with a remarkable spell of 7 for 97 in 43 overs, keeping Rajasthan’s total in check. Md Sohail Khan supported him with 1 for 40 in 18 overs.

Day 1: Rajasthan build solid foundation

On the opening day, Rajasthan finished at 270 for 6 after Odisha won the toss and elected to field.

Rajat Baghel Baghel led the charge with a composed 74 off 141 balls, while Sumit Godara added 70 from 100 deliveries, striking eight fours and two sixes.

Badal Biswal impressed with the ball, picking up 5 for 71 in 29 overs, maintaining pressure throughout the day. Saideep Mohapatra chipped in with 1 for 25 in 7 overs.
