Thane: The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of the police apprehended two Bangladeshi nationals, both 24 years old, in Maharashtra’s Navi Mumbai township for reportedly residing in India without proper documentation. The arrest took place on Friday in Khidukpada village at Nadve in Panvel.

According to media reports, the ATS team, conducting an inspection in the Khidukpada locality, discovered the individuals living in a chawl (row tenement). Interrogation revealed that they were unable to provide valid documents regarding their entry into the country, despite possessing Aadhaar cards, voter ID cards, and driving licenses in their names.

A case has been registered against the duo on Saturday under the Passport (Entry into India) Rules-1950 and the Foreigners Act. Local authorities are actively investigating the matter to uncover the nature of their activities and potential links to illegal immigration networks.
