Women’s U19 T20 Trophy: Madhya Pradesh beat Odisha by 38 runs

Raipur: Madhya Pradesh registered a convincing 38-run victory over Odisha in the Women’s Under-19 T20 Trophy 2025–26 Elite Group match at the RDCA Ground, here on Monday.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Madhya Pradesh posted a competitive 131 for 4 in their 20 overs. Tamanna Choudhary led the charge with a fluent 40 off 29 balls, striking six boundaries, while Ishana Swami played an unbeaten knock of 33 from 29 balls to steer her side to a strong total. For Odisha, Bijaya L. Behera (2/13) and Ananya P. Rout (1/17) were the pick of the bowlers, keeping the scoring rate under control in the middle overs.

Chasing 132 for victory, Odisha struggled to build momentum and were bowled out for 93 in 19.4 overs. Angel Raj (20 off 19 balls) and Bijaya L. Behera (19 off 19) provided brief resistance, but regular wickets hampered their progress. For Madhya Pradesh, Riya Yadav bowled a disciplined spell of 2 for 13, while Khyati Shukla claimed 2 for 30 to seal the win.
