Women’s U19 T20 Trophy 2025: Haryana, Baroda and Rajasthan register impressive wins

Bhubaneswar/Cuttack: Haryana, Baroda and Rajasthan recorded comfortable victories in their respective matches of the Women’s Under-19 T20 Trophy 2025–26 (Elite-D) held at different venues in Odisha on Sunday.

At Railway Stadium, Bhubaneswar, Haryana openers Tanishka Sharma and Pari Tanwar powered their side to a commanding 74-run win over Jammu & Kashmir. Batting first, Haryana posted 156 without loss, with Tanwar smashing an unbeaten 81 off 72 balls and Sharma contributing 63* off 50. In reply, J&K managed 82/4 in 20 overs, with Kainyat Bakshi scoring 50 runs. For Haryana, Ishana Gadha and Gaurika Yadav took a wicket each in economical spells.

At Railway Ground, Bhubaneswar, Baroda chased down Vidarbha’s modest total of 92/9 to win by six wickets. Arya Abhay Pongde top-scored for Vidarbha with 40 off 37 balls, while Baroda’s Riddhi Singh (3/17) and Arya Mehta (2/13) starred with the ball. In the chase, Mesvi Pokar (34) and Atoshi Banerjee (32) guided Baroda to victory in 19.3 overs.

Meanwhile, at Ravenshaw Ground-1, Cuttack, Rajasthan defeated Chandigarh by 22 runs. Batting first, Rajasthan posted 119/6, led by Tanika Sharma’s unbeaten 51. In reply, Chandigarh were restricted to 97/9, with Divniddi Sandil (18) top-scoring. Rajasthan bowlers AN Choudhary and Maina Siyol picked up two wickets each to seal the win.
