Nagpur: Andhra produced a dominant all-round performance to register a massive 213-run victory over Odisha in their Women’s Under-15 One Day Trophy Elite C match at VCA Kalamna on Thursday. After winning the toss and opting to bat, Andhra piled up a formidable 333 for 6 in their allotted 35 overs, leaving Odisha with an uphill task right from the start.
Andhra’s innings was headlined by a superb century from Greeshma Saini, who smashed 100 runs off just 58 balls, including nine fours and seven sixes. She was well supported by Deeksha Katragadda, who played a fluent knock of 76 off 47 balls, striking 13 boundaries and three sixes. Despite Chhita Soren picking up three wickets for Odisha, Andhra maintained a brisk scoring rate throughout to post an imposing total.
In reply, Odisha struggled against a disciplined Andhra bowling attack and were restricted to 120 for 7 in 35 overs. Anwesha Swain top-scored with 30 off 30 balls, while Priyanshi Maharana remained unbeaten on 29. Akshaya Vadde was the standout bowler for Andhra, claiming four wickets for just 23 runs, while Chakrika Dandu chipped in with one wicket.
