Wasim Jaffer has stepped down from his position as Odisha Ranji team coach, Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) informed on Saturday.
The former India opener will next be coaching Bangaladesh U-19 team in his new assignment.
OCA’s Cricket Advisory Committee has recommended R Srikanth, currently the technical director of Odisha Cricket Academy, to be the coach of senior men’s team for the 2022-23 season.
Srikanth, a former Ranji Trophy player of Odisha, has been actively involved in training aspiring Level-1 and Level-2 coaches of Odisha for the NCA programmes and has successful coaching background for the past 20 years at different levels.
