Dr Janardhan Dash passed away at the age of 75.
Cuttack: The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) on Monday expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Dr. Janardhan Dash, a prominent sports administrator and former vice president of the association. He passed away on November 3, 2025, at the age of 75.
In a statement, OCA president Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, secretary Sanjay Behera and other office bearers conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, describing Dr. Dash’s death as an irreparable loss to Odisha’s sports fraternity.
Dr. Dash had served as the vice president of both the Odisha Cricket Association and the Football Association of Odisha. He was also the current vice president of the Odisha Olympic Association and the general secretary of the Keonjhar District Athletic Association.
Known for his decades-long dedication to sports development in the state, Dr. Dash was closely associated with several sports and social organisations. His contributions to nurturing young talent and promoting athletics at the grassroots level earned him widespread respect.
He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
