Utkal University gets new computer centre

Utkal University VC Prof Sabita Acharya inaugurates the new computer centre.

Bhubaneswar: The computer centre of Utkal University was inaugurated by vice-chancellor Prof Sabita Acharya on the occasion of Utkal Divas.

Dr Abhay Kumar Nayak, registrar, Dr Nigamananda Das, director CDC, Dr Manoranjan Senapati, development officer, Professor In-Charge of university’s computer Centre Dr Prafulla Kumar Behera, other teachers, staff and students were present.

The computer centre also have a video conference room, computer lab, supervision room and technical team office.

In the beginning of the programme, the vice-chancellor and the registrar also planted trees on the premises.

This new computer centre can accomodate 48 students at the same time where they can avail high-speed internet access.

Apart from that the video conference facilities are also ready for two-way interactive sessions and research activities.
