Odisha won its second match against Bihar by 61 runs on Wednesday in the ongoing U-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy, at the sector-16 cricket stadium in Chandigarh.
Opting to bat first, Odisha made 179 for 9 in 50 overs, with Sushil Barik making a 32-ball 41 while Sambit Baral made 36. For Bihar Rahul Kumar picked three wickets while Vedant Choubey and Sakib Hussain picked two wickets each.
Coming out for the chase, Bihar were bowled out for 118 in 36.5 overs, with Sraman Nigrodh’s 31 off 62 balls being the highest score for his team. For Odisha, Ritesh Priyaranjan struck with three wickets while Sambit Baral and Sushil Barik scalped two wickets each.
With this victory, Odisha got its campaign back on track after losing their first game against Uttar Pradesh by a massive 108 runs. Batting first, UP scored 251 for 8 in 50 overs while Odisha were bowled out for 143 in 44.4 overs.
Odisha will next play their third match on October 1 against Delhi, in Mohali.
