Cuttack City Women’s Football Club will organise a seven-a-side tournament at Bidanasi field from Sept 25-26.
The two-day women’s football tournament will be held in memory of late former footballers Debabrata Kar and Sheikh Younus.
The tournament will be of league and knockout format and have been scheduled to be played in the morning and afternoon.
Only footballers from the Cuttack city will be participating and four teams will be picked from amongst those players.
This tournament is believed to promote women’s football in the city, and by the end of this year 300 players will be picked for the sub-junior and junior level.
