Odisha suffered a crushing defeat of 60 runs at the hands of Punjab in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on Monday, played in Lucknow.

Opting to bat, Punjab made 189 for 4 in 20 overs, with Ramandeep Singh scoring a fifty and Gurkeerat Mann 48 not out. For Odisha Bikash Rout picked two wickets.

Coming out for the run-chase, Abhishek Raut led the charge with an unbeaten 56-ball 74, Rout scored 22 as Odisha managed to reach 129 for 7 in their 20 overs.

In their fifth match on Tuesday, Odisha takes on Pondicherry.
