Bhubaneswar: The 23rd governing body meeting of the State Urban Development Agency (SUDA) chaired by Usha Devi, minister of Housing & Urban Development approved a budget of Rs 255.46 lakh for the fiscal year 2024-25, here on Thursday.
The discussions underscored SUDA’s commitment to capacity building, particularly emphasising programmes across urban local bodies. Notably, 12 teams across 30 districts trained a remarkable 59,160 members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) under the MUKTA initiative, amplifying their role in executing projects.
The meeting also deliberated on an extensive capacity building programme, empowering community partners like SHGs under the Transforming Urban Odisha initiative.
The meeting was attended by additional chief secretary H&UD G Mathivathanan, director Municipal Administration Sangramjit Nayak and special secretary Suvendu Kanungo. The meeting’s agenda was presented by additional secretary cum director SUDA Sarada Prasad Panda.
