The senior team started their national championship campaign in Jhansi by beating Himachal Pradesh 18-0. Dipti Lakra starred for Odisha by scoring six goals.
In the second match, the odisha team defeated Chhatisgarh 3-0. Janhabi Pradhan, Dipti Lakra and Khusbu Kujur scored one each for Odisha.
On the other hand, the Odisha junior team too has started on a dominating note after beating Himachal 12-0 in the first match, and in the second league game beat Chattisgarh 9-0 in Simdega.
Double crown for Kabir
Starting his campaign as a qualifier, Odisha tennis ace Kabir Hans won both the singles and doubles titles to clinch a double crown at the AITA Men’s one-lakh tennis tournament in Solan, Himachal Pradesh.
