Bhubaneswar: Prof Sitikantha Mishra, who was recently appointed pro-vice chancellor of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University here, was felicitated by the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), recently.
Prof Mishra is a member of the Board of Governors of IITTM, an organisation under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
The faculty, staff and students along with the nodal officer Dr S Hussain were present at the felicitation ceremony. Prof Mishra is a former director of IITTM.
On this occasion, books authored on different aspects of Odisha by Bishnumohan Panda, a former banker, was released by Prof Mishra. Tapan Kumar Nath, former chief bank officer, Punjab National Bank, also spoke on the occasion.
Prof Mishra also inaugurated a three-month training programme for state-level eco-tourist guides.
