Experts from different sectors at SOA Proxima 2023 in Bengaluru.
Bhubaneswar: Nearly 100 industry HR leaders and experts representing different sectors participated in SOA Proxima 2023, Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University’s Academia-Industry Engagement event held at Bengaluru on May 19.
The event, which brought campus recruiting professionals together, facilitated meaningful interaction, knowledge exchange and exploration of potential partnerships between academia and industry.
It featured a diverse range of activities including presentations, industry engagement and academic programmes along with networking sessions. The HR leaders who attended the programme shared their insights and experiences focusing on emerging trends, challenges and opportunities in academia-industry collaboration.
Prof Amit Banerjee, pro-chancellor of SOA, who addressed the programme, underlined the importance of academia-industry collaboration in driving economic growth and societal development.
Ripti Ranjan Dash, SOA’s head-industry engagement and corporate relations, highlighted the placement scenario in recent years while facilitating
constructive dialogue among the experts from academia and industry.
Prof Sarada Pati, professor in the department of computer science at the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), SOA’s faculty of engineering, shared his insight on the university’s academic programme and industry oriented curriculum.
