Bhubaneswar: Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA) has forged an alliance with Mysuru-based Kaynes SemiCon Private Limited (KTIL) to introduce specialised courses and certificate programmes focusing on semiconductor technology. The collaboration aims to meet the demand for skilled professionals in the semiconductor industry.

KTIL, dedicated to establishing Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Testing (OSAT) units nationwide, has teamed up with Perceptive Solutions for executing and delivering Centers of Excellence (COE) in semiconductor manufacturing. Perceptive Solutions, with extensive experience spanning over three decades, caters to various sectors such as automotive, aerospace, defense, healthcare, and more, through its advanced manufacturing facilities across India.

Recognizing the necessity for tailored educational programmes, SOA and KTIL have joined hands to provide short-term training initiatives, aiming to enhance skills and acquaint learners with cutting-edge technologies in semiconductor manufacturing. Both entities plan to engage seasoned professionals from the semiconductor industry to offer guidance aligned with current industry demands.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between SOA and KTIL was formally signed by Prof Pradipta Kumar Nanda, vice-chancellor of SOA, and Raghu Panicker, CEO of Kaynes Semicon Private Limited, in the presence of K Bhanupriya, managing director of Perceptive Solutions. The signing ceremony witnessed the participation of key figures from SOA, including Prof Manjula Das, Prof Manas Kumar Mallick, Prof DN Thattoi, Prof Renu Sharma, heads of departments, senior professors and Dr Satish Samal, assistant professor.
