Bhubaneswar: In a strategic move to bolster their technological capabilities, Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA) inked a significant memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Batoi Systems, a prominent Bhubaneswar-based corporation specialising in software engineering automation.

The MoU, signed by Prof Pradipta Kumar Nanda, vice-chancellor of SOA and Ashwini Kumar Rath, director and CEO of Batoi Systems, heralds a new era of collaboration in the realm of information technology (IT). Under the agreement, Batoi Systems will extend access to its cutting-edge Batoi Academy Platform and facilitate the establishment of a technology lab dedicated to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Quantum Computing education and research at SOA.

Furthermore, Batoi Systems will conduct practical training sessions and live projects for SOA students, bridging the gap between academia and industry requirements. The corporation will also organise IT-focused seminars, conferences, and workshops, while considering SOA students for internships and employment opportunities.

On the other end, SOA will commit to coordinating research and curricular programmes, supporting the implementation of the Batoi EIP (Entrepreneurial and Institutional Partnership) programme, and aiding in the setup of the technology lab. Collaboration in quantum computing education and research initiatives is also on the agenda.

The signing ceremony witnessed the presence of key figures including Prof Prasanta Kumar Panigrahi, director of SOA’s Centre for Quantum Science and Technology, and Pramod Kumar Panda, SOA’s chief administrative officer, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of IT education and research in the region.
