Rajkot: Odisha produced a dominant all-round performance to defeat Assam by 106 runs in the Senior Women’s One Day Trophy 2025-26 (Elite) at the Niranjan Shah Stadium, here on Sunday.

The innings was built around a superb century by Sarita Meher, who anchored the innings with 100 runs off 127 balls, striking 10 boundaries. She paced her knock well, ensuring Odisha had a solid foundation.

Sushree Dibyadarshini provided the much-needed acceleration in the middle overs with a brisk unbeaten 85 off just 65 balls. Her knock, studded with 14 fours, lifted the scoring rate at a crucial stage. Madhuri Meheta also made a valuable contribution, scoring 51 from 79 deliveries, including four boundaries.

For Assam, Rima Pegu was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 2 wickets for 26 runs in her 6 overs. Gayatri Gurung chipped in with 1 for 40 in her 6 overs, but the rest of the attack struggled to contain the flow of runs.
