Rajkot: Odisha registered a 35-run win over Madhya Pradesh in the Senior Women’s One-Day Trophy 2025-26 (Elite) match at Sanosara Cricket Ground ‘B’, here on Friday.
After being asked to bat first, Odisha put up a competitive total of 257 for 9 in their 50 overs.
Sarita Meher anchored the innings with a patient 84 off 100 balls, which was studded with 11 boundaries. She held the innings together at the top. Sushree Dibyadarshini provided strong support with a fluent 57 off 58 balls, hitting five fours and scoring at a strike rate close to 100.
For Madhya Pradesh, Aayushi Shukla picked two wickets for 46 runs. Sanskriti Gupta also picked up two for 48 in her 10 overs.
Chasing 258 for victory, Madhya Pradesh were bowled out for 222 in 47.3 overs.
Ananya Dubey fought hard with a steady 85 off 102 balls, including 10 fours. Aayushi Shukla contributed 60 from 71 balls, striking nine boundaries, but the rest of the batting line-up failed to build lasting partnerships.
Odisha’s bowlers kept things tight and struck at regular intervals. SB Lorence was impressive, claiming four wickets for 32 runs in nine overs at an economy of 3.56. Sushree Dibyadarshini also played a key role with the ball, picking up four for 34 in 9.3 overs.
