New Delhi: A Delhi court on Wednesday remanded Soyab, a resident of Faridabad, to 10 days’ custody of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for allegedly sheltering Red Fort blast accused Umar-un-Nabi.

Soyab was brought to the Patiala House Courts under heavy security after being arrested from Dhauj in Haryana’s Faridabad. According to the NIA, he is accused of providing logistical assistance to Umar-un-Nabi ahead of the November 10 terror attack in Delhi.

The agency also produced another accused, Amir Rashid Ali, whose earlier remand was set to end on November 27. Principal and Sessions Judge Anju Bajaj Chandna extended Amir’s custodial interrogation by seven more days while granting the NIA 10 days to question Soyab.

Soyab is the seventh person arrested so far in the case, which investigators say is linked to a “white-collar” terror network unearthed by the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

In a statement, the NIA said it is following multiple leads in the suicide bombing probe and carrying out coordinated searches across several states to identify other individuals connected to the attack.

Earlier, on November 20, the agency took custody of three doctors, Muzammil Ganaie, Adeel Rather and Shaheena Saeed, and preacher Maulvi Irfan Ahmed Wagay, who were initially arrested by the J&K Police after the November 10 blast.
