New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department reported early Saturday rain showers in parts of Delhi, with the capital’s minimum temperature settling at 18.2 degrees Celsius, five notches above the normal range.
The Met office has predicted cloudy skies throughout the day, with expectations of light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by gusty winds.
The maximum temperature is anticipated to hover around 22 degrees Celsius. At 8:30 am, the humidity level stood at 76 per cent. The Air Quality Index (AQI) for the national capital was recorded at 148, categorising it as ‘moderate’ at 9 am, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board.
The AQI scale classified air quality as follows: 0-50 ‘good,’ 51-100 ‘satisfactory,’ 101-200 ‘moderate,’ 201-300 ‘poor,’ 301-400 ‘very poor,’ and 401-500 ‘severe.’ The current ‘moderate’ reading indicates acceptable air quality levels, allowing residents to carry on with regular activities.
