Union railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw inspected the Jharsuguda Electronic Interlocking System along with Archana Joshi, general manager, SER & ECoR and other senior officials on his second day of his visit to Odisha’s Jharsuguda on Tuesday.
The minister also inspected Jharsuguda station and suggested several passenger amenity measures.
Vaishnaw had held a high-level review meeting with South Eastern Railway (SER) and the East Coast Railway (ECoR) officials at Jharsuguda in Odisha on Monday.
Vaishnaw gave importance to safety issues and suggested several measures to improve passenger amenities over the SER’s jurisdiction.
Issues pertaining to infrastructural development works of the railways in Odisha, especially in Jharsuguda, were discussed in the meeting.
The meeting was attended by SER and ECoR general manager Archana Joshi, principal officers of the SER, ECoR.
