Puri station redevelopment work to be over in 36 months, says union minister

Union minister Darshana Jardosh reviews redevelopment work of Puri railway station.

The Minister of State for Railways & Textile Darshana Jardosh inspected Puri Railway Station and reviewed its redevelopment work with railway officials on Sunday.

During her visit she stressed on the need and significance of facilities provided to the passengers. She also advised officials to focus work around all types of passengers, especially the poor and under privileged passengers.

She also advised officials to focus on development of circulating areas, concourse, platforms, lightings, waiting rooms, toilets, elevators, etc.

Talking to the media, Jardosh said redevelopment work will be completed within 36 months without hampering the flow of passengers and pilgrims.

Divisional railway manager Khurda Road Rinkesh Roy along with senior officials from ECoR HQs and Khurda Road Division participated in the review meeting.
