Chandigarh: The Punjab Bandh called by protesting farmers demanding a legal guarantee for minimum support prices (MSP) has severely disrupted life across the state. Indian Railways has cancelled 150 trains and rescheduled 13 services, significantly impacting transportation and connectivity, as reported by All India Radio News.

The bandh, organised by the farmers’ Kisan Union, has brought rail and road traffic to a standstill, with commercial establishments in many parts of Punjab shutting down in solidarity. Train services through the state have been completely halted, causing inconvenience to passengers and freight operations alike.

Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher commented, “All establishments are closed. Punjabis have shown their unity today, and they are extending full support. Train services are also completely suspended, and no train is entering Punjab.”
