Bhubaneswar: As part of its CSR initiative, Punjab National Bank (PNB) has donated a multipurpose ventilator and six motorized ICU beds to the
Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital here on Tuesday.
Atul Kumar Goel, PNB’s managing director and chief executive officer,handed over the ventilator and beds to Prof (Dr) Manojranjan Nayak, founder
president of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA) in the presence of the bank’s zonal manager A Uday Bhaskar Reddy and circle head Laxmikanta Mishra on Tuesday.
The bank also gifted six over bed tables and an equal number of bedside lockers to the hospital. All these equipment will be used in the cardiothoracic
and vascular surgery (CTVS) department of the hospital.
Prof (Dr) Pusparaj Samantasinhar, medical superintendent of the hospital, Prof Jyoti Ranjan Das, SOA’s dean (Students’ Welfare), Dr Debasish Sahu, head, Department of CTVS, Dr Sushanta Bhoi, anesthesiologist and Saroj Kumar Samal, chartered accountant, were also present.
