PG and M.Tech students of ITER receive degrees

Students and faculty during the graduation ceremony of PG and M.Tech students at ITER in Bhubaneswar.

Bhubaneswar: Students of Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), faculty of engineering and technology of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) here, who successfully completed their post-graduate and M.Tech courses in 2023 received their degrees at a special programme held recently.

Students who had studied M.Tech in civil engineering, electrical engineering and computer science engineering were presented their degrees. Besides, students who pursued courses in mathematics, chemistry and computer application (BCA and MCA) also received their certificates.

SOA vice-chancellor Prof Pradipta Kumar Nanda, who was the chief guest at the programme, gave away the certificates. He also administered an oath to the successful students while wishing them a bright future.

Stating that the university programs were rooted to quality education and research, Prof Nanda said SOA was aiming to get included in the Multidisciplinary Education and Research University (MERU) category as propounded by the National Education Policy (NEP).

The vice-chancellor said the students can pursue research in any institution of the university.
Prof Pradip Kumar Sahu, dean of ITER, also addressed the students while Prof Renu Sharma, additional dean (Student Affairs), ITER, welcomed them. SOA’s pro-chancellor Prof Sitikantha Mishra, controller of examination Prof Manjula Das and heads of different departments were present.
