The fuel price in Bhubaneswar saw an increase of Rs 0.71 on Sunday, as the rate of petrol in the capital city was Rs 105.46 while diesel price was at Rs 101.62 per litre.
In Cuttack the prices of petrol and diesel on Sunday were Rs 105.65 and Rs 101.81, respectively.
Petrol and diesel prices are revised in India on a daily basis. The fuel prices are revised at 6 am everyday. It includes value added tax (VAT), and dealer commission.
While the VAT varies from state to state, there are many other factors that impact fuel prices. Price of crude oil, INR to USD exchange rate and demand for fuel are some of the key factors that affect petrol and diesel prices.
