The petrol price in Bhubaneswar saw an increase of 30 paise. The rate of petrol in the capital city of Odisha was Rs 102.56 on Thursday. While diesel price was Rs 98.05.
In Cuttack the prices of petrol and diesel on Thursday were Rs 102.88 and Rs 98.36.
Petrol and diesel prices are revised in India on a daily basis. The fuel prices are revised at 6 am everyday. It includes value added tax (VAT), and dealer commission.
While the VAT varies from state to state, there are many other factors that impact fuel prices. Price of crude oil, INR to USD exchange rate and demand for fuel are some of the key factors that affect petrol and diesel prices.
