The fuel price in Bhubaneswar saw a increase of Rs 0.35 on Sunday, as the rate of petrol in the capital city was Rs 106.77 while diesel price was at Rs 103.15.
In Cuttack the prices of petrol and diesel on Sunday were Rs 107.29 and Rs 103.65, respectively.
Petrol and diesel prices are revised in India on a daily basis. The fuel prices are revised at 6 am everyday. It includes value added tax (VAT), and dealer commission.
While the VAT varies from state to state, there are many other factors that impact fuel prices. Price of crude oil, INR to USD exchange rate and demand for fuel are some of the key factors that affect petrol and diesel prices.
