The petrol prices in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack saw a slight increase on Friday.
On Friday, petrol was Rs 102.14 and in Cuttack 102.44. While the diesel prices in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack were Rs 96.95 and Rs 97.23, respectively.
Petrol and diesel prices are revised in India on a daily basis. The fuel prices are revised at 6 am everyday. It includes value added tax (VAT), and dealer commission.
While the VAT varies from state to state, there are many other factors that impact fuel prices. Price of crude oil, INR to USD exchange rate and demand for fuel are some of the key factors that affect petrol and diesel prices.
